HONOLULU (February 23, 2022) – The Laylow, Autograph Collection is pleased to announce the appointment of Fuchsia Yamashiro as the General Manager of Hideout at The Laylow, an award-winning restaurant that’s loved by locals and visitors alike.

Born and raised in Kaneohe, Yamashiro previously served as the restaurant manager of Hideout. She brings 12 years of restaurant and hospitality management experience to her new role.

Yamashiro began her hospitality career as the Catering Coordinator and Restaurant Supervisor at the Tahiti Village in Las Vegas in 2010. Over the past nine years, Yamashiro joined the LEV Restaurant Group where she managed a variety of brands, from a full service burger restaurant to a neighborhood health-focused restaurant. She then spent the last four years leading Jaburritos at The LINQ Promenade, a high volume sushi burrito restaurant on the Las Vegas Strip. In May of 2021, Yamashiro moved home to Hawaii and joined the Hideout team.

Yamashiro holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Service Management from the University of Nevada – Las Vegas.

In her free time, you can find her training for a marathon or rooting for the University of Hawaii’s football team. She’s currently prepping for the Boston Marathon and recently ran in the Honolulu Marathon to raise awareness and donations to the Colt Brennan Legacy Fund. Her charitable work will also be recognized in Hawaii Community Foundation’s 2022 donor highlights.
