Hideout Through the Years – A Vintage Midcentury Modern 5th Anniversary Celebration

HONOLULU (March 8, 2022) – Step back in time at Hawaii’s midcentury modern nightspot – Hideout at The Laylow – as we celebrate its 5th anniversary with blast from the past cocktails, JuneShine party, night market with local vendors and wine dinner tasting.

Hideout is kicking off the weeklong celebrations with the 5th Anniversary Wine Dinner led by Master Sommelier Michael Jordan. The event takes place on Tuesday, March 22 at 6:30 p.m. on Hideout’s open-air lanai.

The tasting will welcome 12 wine and food aficionados to enjoy a five-course menu curated by Hideout’s executive chef, Justus Keliehor and paired with select wines crafted by women in honor of Women’s History Month.

From March 22 – 26, Hideout is welcoming guests to “Hideout Through the Years” by reintroducing blast from the past cocktails, which include five of the most popular drinks from Hideout’s inception until now. The lineup includes cocktails such as Butterfly Effect, which turns into a beautiful shade of blue when butterfly pea syrup is poured and The Lucky Kid, which is a sweet and spicy mixture featuring local Pau Maui vodka blended with lilikoi and ginger lime tea syrup.

Guests will be movin’ and groovin’ on Saturday, March 26 as Hideout teams with JuneShine to launch Evan Mock’s collaboration POG flavor accompanied by a night filled with music by local entertainers from 6 – 8:30 p.m. and DJ performances will kick up the vibe a notch from 9 – 11:30 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to shop for fab gifts at Hideout’s night market from 6 – 10 p.m. featuring local vendors such as New York Fashion Week designers Lotus & Lime, Love Me Knots, S.I.E Swim, Reina Young Designs and XIX Palms.

The Laylow, Autograph Collection will also partake in anniversary celebrations with the launch of an Instagram giveaway on March 22, where they are providing a two-night stay and $50 food and beverage voucher to Hideout. Enter for a chance to win at @LaylowWaikiki on Instagram.

Over the past five years, Hideout at The Laylow earned the reputation as the go-to open-air pau hana spot for locals and visitors alike. The award-winning restaurant serves up reimagined Modern Hapa Hawaii cuisine that places local ingredients front and center. Hideout also features two fire pits overlooking the cityscape, where guests can enjoy entertainment by island musicians, artisan cocktails or craft beer.
