Riya Davis, a vocalist, vocal instructor, saxophonist, and a mother of Palauan and Dominican descent, began her career in Hawaii, competing in “Brown Bags to Stardom,” “Hawaii Stars,” and MTV’s “Say What Karaoke.” She has performed with icons uch as Kenny Loggins, Natalie Cole, Bobby Caldwell, Sheila E., Michael McDonald, Ray Parker Jr., Denice Williams, and Mary Blige, and earned a Po okela Award nomination for her role in Beehive at the Manoa Valley Theatre.
